Shilpa Shetty, Anil Kapoor and Nimish Chheda file photos: Yogen Shah and Rangmarathi
Nimish Chheda, sound designer on Bollywood films like Namastey London, Go Goa Gone, Kaminey, Saawariya and Johnny Gaddaar, Anil Kapoor’s TV show 24 and Marathi films Fandry and Shala, passed away in the wee hours of February 28. He was 35 and is survived by his wife and infant daughter.
Nimish had recently worked on Shilpa Shetty’s production Dishkiyaoon, starring Sunny Deol and Harman Baweja, and also Marathi film Chaurya. The young sound guy passed away after his car crashed into a dumper in Mumbai, say newspaper reports. He had developed meningitis after the accident.
Nimish had won the Maharashtra State Award as well as the Marathi International Film and Theatre Awards (MIFTA) Award for Best Sound Designer for acclaimed film Shala.
