All you need to know about JEE (Main) 2014

The results of the JEE (Main) which was conducted on the 6th of April are out. Candidates can check their results here- http://cbseresults.nic.in/jee/jee_cbse_2014.htm

Over 14 lakh students appeared the exam which was held at 150 centres across the country. The number of students who appeared in the JEE this year was 30,000 more than last year, a rise of 6.5 percent.

The result includes the actual marks obtained by the candidate in Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2014 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2014. Marks scored in each subject were mentioned separately.

Only the All India Rank is used for admissions through Central Counseling Board to NIT s/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

Results have been declared with slight changes in their regular format. The score or the rank card will not be dispatched from this year onwards. The candidates who have appeared the exam are advised to download their score or rank card from the JEE (Main website) http://jeemain.nic.in

On the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2014 and normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (60 per cent and 40 per cent weightage respectively a separate rank list will be prepared for December 18, 2013 admission to B.E./B. Tech. and B. Arch/ B. This will be declared by July 7, 2014.

After the declaration of result JEE (Main)-2014 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on the JEE’s official website.

The exam of IIT-JEE (Advanced)-2014 will be conducted on May 25, 2014.  The Paper-1 will be held from 9 am-12 pm. Paper-2 will be held from 2pm to 5pm. The duration of each paper will be of 3 hours. The question papers (QP) will be available in Hindi or English. The candidate will have to choose the language of QP while registering for JEE(Advanced)-2014.

The examination cities for IIT- JEE (advanced) are IIT Bombay Zone, IIT Delhi Zone, IIT Gawahati Zone, IIT Kanpur Zone, IIT Kharagpur Zone, IIT Madras Zone and IIT Roorkee Zone.
