2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift: Price in India, Images, Interior & Launch Date
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2017 facelift will compete against the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Renault Captur in India.
Maruti Suzuki has had a promising year so far with launches like new DZire, Baleno RS and Ignis. The company is now all set to launch the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross in India, which according to our sources, will launch on 26th September, 2017. Maruti Suzuki's NEXA dealerships across India have already started taking pre-bookings for the S-Cross facelift. However, Maruti Suzuki is yet to announce official bookings for the car. The new S-Cross will initially come equipped with only the 1.3-litre diesel motor, coupled to an SHVS hybrid system while the 1.6-litre diesel unit has been ditched altogether. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Interiors & Features
The interiors of the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are similar as compared to the current model. The cabin gets soft to touch materials and feel premium. The 2017 facelift version of the S-Cross now comes with 7-inch SmartPlay touch-screen infotainment system that comes with support for Apple Carplay Android Auto and MirrorLink connectivity. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Dimensions
Just by the looks of the car, the new 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift looks bigger and larger in dimensions as compared to the current model. But in reality, the car measures more or less same. Dimensionally, the 2017 Maruti S-Cross is 4300 mm in length, 1785 mm in width, 1585 mm in height and has a ground clearance of 180 mm. To put this into perspective, the car is similar in length and offers similar ground clearance but is 20 mm wider than the outgoing model, thus offering increased shoulder room. The car is 5 mm shorter as compared to the current model while the wheelbase is similar at 2600 mm. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Engine Specifications
Internationally the 2017 S-Cross is offered in two petrol engine options and a diesel engine. The petrol options include a 1.0-litre turbocharged BoosterJet engine producing 110bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. The higher spec 1.4-litre BoosterJet petrol engine produces 138bhp of power and 220Nm of torque. The oil burner is powered by a 1.6-litre DDiS diesel engine producing 120bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. Transmission options include both 6-speed manual as well as automatic gearboxes. The Indian variant will continue to be powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine. However, reports suggest that the company will discontinue the 1.6-litre DDiS 320 diesel engine with the facelift. That said, Maruti Suzuki might launch the car with a petrol engine option, either the 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine or a 1.5-litre M15A petrol unit along with an AT. This would be an added advantage for the company to ring in higher sales numbers as the petrol variant will be affordable as well as cost effective. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift Price
Currently, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is priced between INR 7.94 lakh to INR 11.67 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) depending upon variants. That said, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is expected to come with a slight premium over the current gen model. Expect the 2017 S-Cross facelift to be priced between INR 8 lakh to INR 13 lakh (Ex-showroom).
