Live: Nissan Terrano unveiled In India

The Duster-based Terrano will carry a premium of around Rs 40,000 over the former.

We have seen Renault-Nissan alliance sharing products in India as a part of their badge engineering strategy. The collaboration has already stemmed cars like the Pulse/Micra and the Scala/Sunny. And now, Nissan will soon add another model to the range in the form of the Duster-based Terrano.

However, it’s also worth noting that Nissan’s version of the hugely popular Renault Duster could be the last bade-engineered model in India from Renault-Nissan as recent reports suggest that Nissan India is looking to end badge engineering of Nissan and Renault versions of the same cars. Touted as a game-changer for Nissan India, the much awaited Terrano will officially make its debut today at an event scheduled to undergo within few minutes. Watch this space!

Now that the official images are out, It can be said that Nissan has done a pretty impressive job of rejuvenating the Duster’s old-school design. The modern looking front-end is all-new with redesigned bumper, new honeycomb grille and a sharp looking pair of headlamps.
