Renault India, the Indian arm of French automaker, has today registered a sales growth of 23 percent for the month of November 2016. The automaker recorded overall sales of 9,604 units in the month of November 2016. The company had sold only 7,819 units of its cars in India during the same period last year. Renault India has been doing really well in the Indian market since the past one year. Its bestselling car, the Renault KWID, has sold more than 1.0 lakh units since its launch in October 2015.
Renault India has clocked an overall sales of 1,20,991 units for the period of January-November 2016. During the same period last year, the company had sold only 43,555 units of its cars in India, thereby registering a year on year growth of 178 per cent. The Renault KWID, with its huge success, has been the biggest ‘Make in India’ story so far in the Indian car market. Growing on its success, Renault India launched the KWID 1.0 which was followed by the Renault KWID AMT in India.
The Renault KWID is available in two petrol engine options; 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre. While both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the KWID 1.0 comes coupled to an Easy-R 5-speed AMT transmission. The company expects to open 270 Renault dealerships across India by the end of this year. The company is emphasizing on providing better customer brand experience along with innovative customer oriented activities.
