New Delhi, October 27: Owing to the high demand, preorders for the iPhone X will open today at Apple, phone carriers, and other retailers. This means Apple’s latest model iPhone X will be available in more than 55 countries including India from October 27 i.e. today. The iPhone X pre-orders will start at 12.30 pm in India. E-commerce majors -Flipkart and Amazon have already made their pre-order page live. “iPhone X, the future of the smartphone, featuring a revolutionary new design with a stunning all-screen display, wireless charging and an incredible rear camera with dual optical image stabilization, will be available to customers for pre-order on Friday, October 27 at 12:01 a.m. PDT on apple.com and the Apple Store app”, the company said in its statement.
The all‑new 5.8‑inch Super Retina screen of the smartphone fills the hand and dazzles the eyes. The iPhone X is the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, front and back with surgical grade stainless steel and wireless charging. It is water and dust resistance. Apple mentioned on its website saying, “Customers will be able to pre-order iPhone X beginning Friday, October 27, with availability beginning Friday, November 3, in Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US and US Virgin Islands”.
The phone has a larger and faster 12-megapixel sensor with a new colour filter. It has deeper pixels and a new telephoto camera with OIS. iPhone X will be available in silver and space grey in 64GB and 256GB models starting at Rs 89,000 from November 3 in India. The HDR display supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The phone comes with 5.8-inch Super Retina display which is the first OLED panel with stunning colors, true blacks, a million-to-one contrast ratio.
Customers who are hoping to get an iPhone X on launch day. i.e. November 3 should order as early as possible. The iPhone X will cost Rs 89,000 in India for the 64GB variant while the 256GB version will cost Rs 102,000 from November 3 in India. Apple offers an edge-to-edge 5.8-inch display and an OLED display for the very first time, calling it the Super Retina Display. The latest feature in iPhone X is that it will not have a home button.
