Although Yes Bank has a small network of ATMs, it sees a lot of third party transactions, which means more number of cards being exposed to the menace. The malware has indicated serious trouble for banks ensuring security, as it is not a case of mere PIN theft, where in fraudsters install cameras in ATM vestibules to capture the PIN when it is being punched in. We assure our customers that the ATM network of ICICI Bank is equipped with the best-in-class security measures. We would like to inform that the possible breach of information of debit cards has taken place in the ATM network of another bank. As a precautionary measure, the PINs of debit cards used at the ATMs of that bank have been changed. This has been done in order to protect our customers from any potential fraudulent transaction.

HDFC BANK
Besides advising those customers who we know have used a non-HDFC Bank ATM in the recent past to change (their) ATM PIN, we are advising our customers to use only HDFC Bank ATMs as we believe security controls at some of the other bank ATMs may not be on par with HDFC Bank ATMs. We take this opportunity to reiterate that it’s always prudent to change ATM PINs from time to time. It prevents misuse.

AXIS BANK

The breach has occurred in the case of customers who have used certain non-Axis Bank ATMs.Over the last few weeks, Axis Bank has proactively reached out to the affected customers and advised them to change their debit card PINs.
