New Delhi, October 12: E-commerce major Flipkart is back with ‘Big Diwali Sale’ to woo customers with attractive deals across all top brands. The ‘Big Diwali Sale’ is scheduled to kickstart from October 14 and will go on until October 17. It’s festive season and to make the most of this, Flipkart said customers will get offers of about 70 percent off on TVs and appliances until the end of the sale. During the 4-day extravaganza, Flipkart will host one flash sale every day at 12 noon from October 14 to October 17, starting with the Panasonic Eluga Ray X.
Under the sale, customers using HDFC Bank credit and debit cards for purchases are eligible to get a 10 percent instant discount. Meanwhile, Payments made through PhonePe app will get an additional 20 percent cashback, with a maximum cashback up to Rs 200. Flipkart is also hosting the first sale of the Honor 9i smartphone at Rs 17,999. The sale will be held on Saturday, October 14, at 12 am. The smartphone was launched in India on October 5. The online major will also be offering washing machines at a starting price of Rs 8,999 and a discount of 50-80 per cent off on fashion products. Customers can also avail the no-cost EMI option on over 4 lakh products with Bajaj Finserv cards.
Under the Diwali Sale, Flipkart will also offer 8 of its customers’ international flight vouchers worth Rs 15,000 from ixigo. The firm is assuring up to 50 percent value on old smartphones with its Buyback guarantee. The e-commerce site has listed exchange values for phones such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo K4 Note, Moto G4 Plus, Apple iPhone 6 etc.
Reports state that during the ‘Big Billion Days Sale’, Flipkart witnessed an 800 percent growth in the fashion category, while home and kitchen saw a 500 percent increase. The e-commerce giant Flipkart revealed that while the company did sales equivalent to 70 percent of the entire online e-commerce market in India during their five-day-long “Big Billion Days” sales from September 20-24, its sales shot up by 100 percent as compared to last year. “Flipkart created history in the smartphones segment within the first 20 hours of the category opening for sale. 1.3 million smartphones were sold, higher than the total number of smartphones sold across India in a single day, both through online and offline,” the company said.
