After the huge success of the Motorola Moto G, Google’s special mid-budget smartphone, the new version of of the phone Moto G2 is likely to be released on September 10, 2014. This was exclusively reported first by gadgets website GSMarena.com. It could also be called the Moto G+1, reports the website, and is likely to be priced at Euro 250 or Rs 20,500 in India on Flipkart.
The leaked specifications of the Moto G2 or Moto G+1 according to the report are: Android KitKat 4.4.4 OS, 5-inch, 720p display, Snapdragon 400 chipset with a Quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU, and camera 8MP rear and 2MP front. The storage consists of 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. There is no provision for expandable memory.
Although fans of the Moto G will be excited with the news of a fresh version of the smartphone hitting markets, the higher price of Rs 20,500 might be a deterrent for many. Also because Motorola recently reduced the price of the Moto G by Rs 2,000 on Flipkart.
