New Delhi, July 12: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is continuing the low-cost services for another 3 months with the newly launched Rs 399 plan. New entrant Jio has also introduced two new prepaid plans – the Rs 349 and Rs 399 for its Prime members. Under the Rs 349 plan, Jio is offering Prime customers will 20 GB of 4G data for 56 days with no cap on consumption, while Rs 399 will get them 84 GB data valid for 84 days. After the data is exhausted, the Internet speed will reduce to 128kbps.  Apart from launching new plans, Jio has revised its existing plans by making few changes in their validities.

Under the Rs 399 plan, Jio is offering its Jio Prime customers with 1 GB data per day for 84 days. It is similar to daily data allowance of Rs 309 plan but has a 84-day validity. The other plan that was introduced was the Rs 349 plan under which jio offered customers with 20 GB limit data for a period of over 56 days with no data limit. The decision of introduction of new Jio plans comes after its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer which was launched on 11 April reached the maximum allowed 90-day promotional period on 9 July.

Jio’s prepaid plan starts for as low as Rs. 19 that offers users with only one-day validity, 200MB of 4G data, and unlimited SMS and voice calling facilities. The second lowest prepaid plan is Rs. 49 plan which offers users with a 3-day validity and 600MB of 4G data with similar voice and SMS calling benefits. The third lowest is the Rs. 96 plan which gives users 7-day validity with unlimited data of up to 1GB per day.

Apart from the new plans, Jio has revised its previous Rs 309 and Rs 509 plans. The Rs 309 plan is offering 1 GB data while the Rs 509 plan is offering and 2 GB per day for a total validity of 56 days, unlike the previous plan validity of 28 days. Thus, the validity of the plans has been extended. Reports state that this is the revision of Jio plans since April, when the company phased out the Rs. 303 and Rs. 499 packs in favour of the Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 packs.
