SBI Says Cheque Books of Six Banks Will Become Invalid From March 31; Here is The List

The bank informed its customers on its official Twitter account that the cheque books of these banks will become invalid on April 1, hence; customers must exchange them with SBI cheque books.

SBI Customers Face Technical Issue While Using UPI Transactions For Last 2 Days.

New Delhi, Mar 21: The State Bank of India(SBI) has reminded its customers that cheque books of six  banks will become invalid on March 31. The report said that it includes Bharatiya Mahila Bank, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, The State Bank of Hyderabad, and the State Bank of Mysore, the State Bank of Patiala, and the State Bank of Travancore. These banks have been merged with the State Bank of India. Customers of these banks can exchange their cheque books at their nearest SBI branch.

SBI had set the deadline for exchange on September 30 last year. However, the deadlines was extended to December 31. The deadline was further extended to March 31.

The bank informed its customers on its official Twitter account that the cheque books of these banks will become invalid on April 1, hence; customers must exchange them with SBI cheque books. Applications for new cheque books can be sent through internet and mobile banking, at ATM kiosks, and at SBI branches.
