The much-awaited Apple’s new iPhone X which costs around a lakh of rupees was sold out within a few minutes after being on sale. The phones which were available for pre-order on Flipkart and Amazon were priced at Rs 89,000 for 64GB phone and the 256GB version is priced at Rs 1,02,000. Customers could also opt for exchange offers with a discount of Rs 30,000-35,000 with online bank cashback offers also available. With the phones being sold out in no time, Twitterati couldn’t hold back their laughter and hilarious jokes filled the micro-blogging site. While kidney jokes definitely found a way with the phone costing a little fortune, funny GIFs and memes also made it to Twitter.

iPhone X came with a number of offers and buyback options too. While Flipkart had buyback offer up to Rs 52,000, Amazon was also giving 70 percent buyback guarantee on iPhone X for those using a Reliance Jio. The phone was sold out within minutes in the United Kingdome. Customers were asked to wait for four to six weeks to buy the phone. Twitterati also complained about having to wait the entire night to buy the phone only to get ‘sold out’ messages in the morning. Apple’s website is already registering a wait of six weeks for the new phone.

The iPhone X comes with super retina edge-to-edge 5.8-inch display with 2436×1125-pixel resolution (higher than full HD). Face recognition, a first for a flagship product from any smartphone manufacturer is another talked about feature of the phone. This Apple iPhone is the first ever to come with an OLED display with Dolby vision and HDR10 support. The iPhone X also comes in an all-glass body with a polished and steel band wrapped around the phone.
India is among the first countries where Apple’s new flagship smartphone is being launched. The phone will be available November 3 in Silver and Space Grey colors.
