An Australian family was devastated when they found out on Monday that their home in Melbourne had been broken into. Many expensive items had been stolen like jewelry, electronics, a laptop and an iPad. However, what made the family really unhappy was the fact that their eight-week-old Labrador pup Sasha was also taken. They came to terms with the robbery but not with the fact that their pup was lost forever. They sent out an appeal and their request to get back the puppy made headlines in Australia. Their appeal finally made its mark and the puppy mysteriously reappeared after 3 days, probably returned by the same thieves who broke into their house. The family was overjoyed at receiving back their puppy, Sasha.

The family told the media that they were struck by the robbery but were devastated by the loss of their pup Sasha and their four-year-old daughter had lost her best friend. They even resorted to appearing on local television to appeal for information related to their stolen puppy. The puppy was returned to them on Thursday; it was spotted in their backyard. The little girl’s dad Ryan Hood told 3AW radio, “We’re not worried about the material things, we just want the puppy back.” After getting the puppy back, Ryan Hood told Channel Nine, “We think that whoever took her either has a conscience or got scared and just dropped her over the fence … we don’t care to be honest, we’re just glad to have her back.”

Victoria Police spread the news about the hunt for the puppy on Twitter
