Baisakhi which is also known as Vaisakhi is almost around and we cannot be more excited about its grandeur celebration which will be taking place in every corner of Punjab. This occasion marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year and the traditional solar New Year for the Hindu. The Vaisakh month observes the formation of Khalsa Pant by the tenth guru of the Sikh— Guru Gobind Singh. People of Punjab wear traditional clothes, visit Gurudwara, feast upon rich food and perform on the traditional folk dance, known as Bhangra and Gidda.

Baisakhi is also observed as the day when farmers pay tribute to the almighty for a successful harvest and hope for the same in future. Farmers celebrate it as ‘Avant Pauni’ where all farmers, workers, and labors gather together and religious couplets to the tune of the drums.
