The social media personality has once again come in news for all the wrong reasons. rumours of Tej Bahadur’s death have been spreading on the social media and netizens have been shocked by this latest news. This fake news first began on Twitter and has spread like a wildfire. A picture collage of the Jawan had been circulating on Twitter and Facebook which shows a martyred Jawan’s picture beside Tej Bahadur’s photo with the message that the BSF Jawan had been killed. However, this image is another work of internet death hoax that has gone viral. The picture used to spread the rumour is said to be of one of the twelve martyred CRPF jawan from Chattisgarh. A picture collage of the two Jawans has been doing the rounds in Twitter and one particular user captioned the picture, “Looks like Indian BSF Jawan, Tej Bahadur Yadav who exposed Indian Army thievery & corruption & then went missing, has been killed. #Kashmir.”

The image has since gone viral and the PRO of BSF and Tej Bahadur’s wife have confirmed that the Jawan is healty and fine. In an interview to Outlook Yadav’s wife Sarmila denied these rumours. The news of Tej Bahadur’s death is rumoured to have begun from Pakistan. Tej Bahadur was a whistle blower who raised fingers at the poor quality of food that was being served to Army Jawans in Kashmir. His Facebook Live chat went viral in hours and various enquirers have been made about the quality of life of Jawans on the borders. However, later the Indian government questioned Tej Bahadur’s Facebook friends and followers. Tej Bahadur has more that 3000 Facebook friends and about 17% of these friends are form Pakistan, which pointed fingers at the Jawan.
