Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton injured herself after she slipped from the stairs of Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhavan palace. Clinton was rushed to Jodhpur’s Goyal Hospital following the accident where an X-ray was carried out and a temporary plaster was put. The doctors said Clinton had a sprain in her hand and was being treated for the same. They have advised her to rest.

As a result of the injury, Clinton had to cancel some of her programmes, officials said. Her visit to the carpet-making units of Salawas village in Jodhpur, wherein she had to interact with weavers also stood cancelled. She is also scheduled to visit Pali and will later leave for Delhi. It is being said that Clinton might further continue her treatment in one of Delhi’s hospital.

The former U.S. Secretary of State is in India to promote her book, ‘What Happened’, revealing what exactly unfolded in the 2016 US Presidential Elections. Speaking on her loss, Clinton criticized the voters. The latest grapevine is that Clinton might be suffering from an underlying health issue but the Former U.S. Secretary of State rubbished such claims and referred to her accidents as regular mishap or casual clumsiness.

Clinton arrived here on a two-day visit and was scheduled to visit the Mehrangarh Fort last evening, authorities said.
