Guwahati, Mar 24: Guwahati’s Dipankar Talukdar on Thursday won the title of Mr. India Model of the World 2018. Talukdar is set to represent India at the world event in April 2018. The event will be held in at Yangon in Myanmar from April 20 to 28. The contest will witness 25 other contestants from around the world.

“I am happy to let you all know that I will be participating at the Mister Model of the World pageant in Myanmar along with contestants from around 25 countries. I seek your love and blessings and hope that I will bring the title to India,” Dipankar Talukdar said while speaking at the Guwahati Press Club.

Before starting his career in modelling, Dipankar was a mechanical engineering and had worked in the Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).

“I have worked hard for one-and-a-half years to participate in the national-level contest. The upcoming international competition for the Mister Model of the World crown is going to be much tougher. I am preparing both physically and mentally. It is an honour to represent the country,” he further added.

Dipankar Talukdar, according to the reports, won the Mr India Model of the World after beating 30 other finalists. The pageant was directed by Akshay Raichurkar. The event was held in Bengaluru in Karnataka.
