Forbes Magazine just revealed details of the world’s top 100 richest people. We took a look at the top five Indian’s that populated that list. Here’s a short bio on them.

Lakshmi Mittal –  USD 16.7 Billion-

Lakshmi Mittal an NRI, owns Arcelor Mittal, the world’s largest steel producer, he also lives at the most fancy address in London, Kensington Palace Gardens. But Lakshmi Mittal is more famous for the big fat weddings he has for his kids and family, with helicopters flying above taking pictures, and Michelin starred chefs to whip some rather delicious delicacies for the guests!

India’s richest technology tycoon, Azim Premji is the chairman of Wipro, that is India’s third larget outsourcer. He is Asia’s most generous person having donated nearly US$ 4.4 billion. His initiatives in education and health are probably the largest privately sponsored ones in India by an Indian till date.

Dilip Shanghvi – USD 12.8 BillionDilip Shangvi

Dilip Shangvi runs Sun Pharmaceuticals, which is now India’s, most valuable drug company. Not only is he rather unassuming, he is also someone who stays off the public eye. Quite little is known of him but in the last year alone, he added $3.4 billion to his wealth!

Shiv Nadar – USD 11.1 BillionShiv Nadar

Shiv Nadar is the co-founder of HCL Group; the IT giant that has been making big waves in the outsourcing sector. With a weakening rupee, higher dependence on Indian IT companies and growth in the US, Shiv added over US$ 4.6 billion in his kitty this year.
