Kings XI Punjab convincingly booked their place in play-offs while Mumbai Indians have their work cut out to try and win all their encounters. As two teams meet at Mohali, home venue for KXIP, we take a look at five players who can change the game in match number 48

1. Manan Vohra (Kings XI Punjab)

Manan Vohra is young, dashing and fearless right hand opening batsman. KXIP retained him ahead of this year’s auction but he found his place in the team only after nine matches. Vohra took the opportunity and shook the opponents with his audacious style of playing. He has played speedy knocks at a strike rate of whopping 228.20 in his two matches and given KXIP thumping starts. This young gun has fitted aptly in KXIP scheme of things.

2. Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab)

531 runs at an average of 48.27 and strike rate of 195.22 to go with it divulges all about Glenn Maxwell. There are more stats to add 46 4s and 35 6s Maxwell has hit so far and nothing seems to stop this Victorian batsman irrespective of who the opponents are and what the conditions are. He is the permanent player to watch out for, isn’t he?

3. Michael Hussey (Mumbai Indians)

Senior Hussey is back after being left out due to dismal show in first few games and seems to have found his lost touch. Hussey scored classy 56 against Rajasthan Royals the other day and made sure his team get a solid foundation. Wicket at Mohali will suit Hussey as it is the fastest one in India just like back home in Australia.

4. Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians)

Fag end of tournament and what is missing is typical Rohit Sharma innings outclassing his opponents. The talented right-handed batsman has played well but in flashes and needs one elegant knock to finish this tournament on high or may be take Mumbai Indians to next round which looks highly impossible currently.

5. Dark Horse: Sandeep Sharma (Kings XI Punjab)

Sandeep Sharma knows the art of swing bowling and he bends it both ways. At his home ground Mohali expect this rookie fast bowler to trouble one and all with his bent and why not when conditions are possibly favouring.
