Madhuri Dixit – Nene birthday special: Top five songs of the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl

Madhuri Dixit – Nene, who is often cited as one of the best actresses in Bollywood and is given special acknowledgement for her wonderful dancing talent, celebrates her 47th birthday today. She made her film debut in 1984 and has, since then, won six Filmfare Awards and a Padma Shri award. She holds the record for the highest number of Best Actress nominations (13) at Filmfare. She still remains to be a force to reckon with.

5.  Aaja Nachale (Aaja Nachale)

Aaja Nachale is a song from the movie of the same name sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. It marked Madhuri Dixit’s comeback into the industry of Bollywood back in 2007. Although the movie didn’t do that well, Madhuri Dixit’s intact dancing skills reflected beautifully through the film.

4. Kay Sera Sera (Pukar)

Kathak trained Madhuri proved her versatility in dancing with this song. She is probably the only female dancer in Bollywood so far to have executed Prabhu Deva’s steps perfectly. The fun – filled, happening song still leaves us in the state of awe as we watch Madhuri matching steps with Prabhu Deva.

3. Ghagra (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani)

She was sensational in the song, Ghagra from the movie, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” This track was released on the eve of her birthday last year. The song was choreographed by Farah Khan and sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Dadlani. It was an absolute delight to watch Madhuri dance the same way she use to, even after so many years.

From the movie, Sailaab, one can see Madhuri all dressed up as a sizzling Maharashtrian beauty in this song. Saroj Khan even went on to win the Best Choreography award for her work in this song. This song is definitely one of the greatest highlight of Madhuri Dixit’s dancing career.

1.  Ek Do Teen (Tezaab)

This song was such a huge success that it introduced ‘Filmfare Best Choreography Award’ for the first time in 1988, which was given to Saroj Khan. Madhuri Dixit was a young and beautiful actress with her unique dancing style and expressions. She had won everyone’s heart.
