NBA 2014-15: Top 5 Players to watch out for this season

Yet another season of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the world’s biggest and the most popular basketball league has kicked-off on Monday with Orlando Magic taking on New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Centre in Louisiana. After some thrilling action last year, where San Antonio Spurs won their fifth NBA championship title, beating defending champions Miami Heat 4-1 in the best of seven final, the dynamics have changed with LeBron ‘King’ James making a move back to Cleveland Cavaliers and last year’s Most Valuable Player ‘MVP’ suffering a foot fracture. Here’s a look at the top five players to look for in the current NBA season.

LeBron James: The King is back to Cleveland Cavaliers with a vow to help his home side win its first NBA first title. After four amazing seasons with Miami Heat, LeBron looks to translate the success with the Cavaliers. The buzz around his comeback is so high that the Caviliers’ home matches have the highest ticket prices this season.

James Harden: He is fast, he can dribble, he has a fan following for his beard. More importantly, on his day he can win matches singlehandedly. But so far, he has proved to be his own undoing. However, towards the end of the last season and in the pre-season matches he showed more maturity and responsibility with his play. If he is in prime form next season, other tems better watch out for Houston Rockets.

Stephen Curry: He is young and promising. His efforts in the previous season held the Golden State Warriors in good stead. Last season he set the NBA record for most three-pointers in the regular season. The ‘Splash Brothers’, Stephen Curry in company Klay Thompson will yet again decide Golden State Warriors’ fate in the upcoming NBA season.

Chris Bosh: With LeBron James, Chris Bosh will be burdened with more hopes of Miami Heat fans. After a lacklustre display against the san Antonio Spurs in last year’s best of seven final, Miami Heat need an inspirational effort to lift their game and all eyes will be on Chris Bosh and teammate Dwayne Wade.

Kobe Bryant: He has surely made his name in NBA All-Time greats; he is surely a future Hall of Famer. After an injury prone season last year, Kobe Bryant is back and will be hoping to help Los Angeles Lakers to a better performance this year, He may far from his peak form, but on his day, he can still win matches for the side.
