You really don’t need to be handsome, hot or beautiful to be someone’s perfect match for marriage in India. This time, Indians are crushing on a voice that answers all their queries and it’s none other than ‘Google Assistant’. Indian users have readily accepted Google Assistant and it has become the new crush of over 4.5 lakh Indians.  Indians are falling for Google Assistant so much that they have asked Google to marry them. Unbelievable isn’t it?

Indians have asked Google’s voice-based virtual assistant, “Ok Google, will you marry me?” among other queries and it has received as many as 4.5 lakh marriage proposals in India. Speaking at the India launch of Google’s voice-activated speakers ‘Home’, Rishi Chandra, company’s vice president of product management and general manager of the home product said, ‘’the voice-based assistant has received about 4.5 lakh proposals for marriage in India’’.

Google Assistant’s growing popularity with the Indian users can be attributed to the fact that Google can now understand and speak Hindi, which makes it more friendly and more personal to middle-class Indian users. “Google Assistant is available in India in Hindi and English. It has increasingly become popular in India… We have 4.5 lakh marriage proposals to Google Assistant from India,” Rishi Chandra added. (As per reported by PTI)

The virtual assistant recently debuted in Hindi and the company has further plans to bring Assistant in 30 more languages. Google also plans to make it multilingual so that it can speak more than one language in one family.

Google Assistant is company’s AI-based virtual personal assistant that is primarily available on mobile and smart home devices. It that can perform tasks like making phone calls, unlock your phone, open apps, suggest you nearby eateries or shop, read news and a lot more. Google Assistant is ought to be the much smarter version of Google Now.

The virtual personal assistant was launched in 2017, for almost every Andriod smartphones available in India. Google Assistant was introduced in India on April 11.  Google Home and Google Home Mini are priced at Rs 9,999, and Rs 4,499 respectively and are available for purchase online, exclusively on Flipkart.
