Raees was a superhit of Shah Rukh Khan earlier this month but what dampened the celebrations was the fact that during the promotions of Raees Shah Rukh Khan landed in trouble as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Western Railway) Tarun Barot claimed that a stampede during the promotions led to the death of a man. Hence, Shah Rukh Khan will be charged with IPC section 304a2 ((causing death due to negligence) along with sections from the Railway Act for creating a stampede. During the promotions of Raees SK made headlines for travelling from Mumbai to Delhi in a local train. The crowd went berserk seeing their favourite star and went into a frenzy to catch a glimpse of him. However, at the Vadodara Railway Station this euphoria turned into a horrible situation and a person named Farid Khan Pathan died of heart attack after being suffocated in the mob that had gathered around SRK.

SRK had expressed his grief over the incident but now the DSP in his report has claimed that he triggered the stampede by throwing t-shirts and other objects and if he hadn’t done that the incident could have been avoided. According to his report, Shah Rukh Khan will be booked under IPC Sections 279 (rash and negligent act), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 304a2 (causing death by negligence) as well as the sections of Railway Act 145,152,175 and 179.

Shah Rukh Khan will be facing the heat in this trial. The star is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film with Anushka Sharma titled Jab Harry Met Sejal. Mini trailers of the movie are being released today. The movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali.
