Snake killed crocodile after five-hour long battle! Survival of the fittest (Watch video)

A snake has defeated a crocodile in a five-hour long battle at a lake in Australia. This video has left the onlookers and viewers in complete shock. The trending video of snake mercilessly killing crocodile after 5-hour long battle is doing rounds on social media and people are going gaga over it. Talking about the trending video, a snake and a crocodile were indulged in a fight wherein each one tries their level best to overcome the other one with their powers. But slowly the python curls itself on the crocodile, and the ferocious crocodile became the helpless victim who could not fight for his life. After a five-hour battle, the snake emerges victorious by finally gulping the entire crocodile.

The gruesome clash took place at Lake Moondarra which is near the Mount Isa. Tiffany Corlis perfectly captured the video and the dreadful images which left us in splits. She even said that the crocodile tried hard to fight but could not win the battle in front of python. “(The crocodile) was fighting at the start, it was trying to keep its head out of the water and survive,” she told ABC News. She further added saying, “But as the morning progressed you could tell both of them were getting a little weaker as the struggle was going on, finally the croc sort of gave in.” The onlookers were shocked by seeing the sustained fight between a python and a crocodile which lasted for almost five long hours.

“It was just unbelievable, we were sort of thinking the snake had bitten off a little more than it could chew, pardon the pun, but it did actually eat the crocodile,” Tiffany Corlis said. She even said that, “You could see the crocodile in the snake’s belly which I think was probably the more remarkable thing. You could actually see its legs and see its scales and everything, it was just amazing.”

Later on a snake expert Associate Professor Bryan Fry, from the University of Queensland said, “The water pythons mostly target rodents and other small animals. But targeting small freshwater crocodiles is relatively easy prey compared to others. The snake might not eat again probably for another month but would probably tuck itself away because it would not have a means of defending itself”.

“Crocs are more dangerous to catch but easier to sneak up on. The problem is they are risking being injured or killed, so they have to be judicious,” he told Fairfax Media. Finally, the snake wins this battle and proves each and everyone of us that only the fittest and the fiercest survives in the end.
