And they recently also joined the fourth estate with the digital platform Scrappy News Anchors. A Delhi-based NGO ‘Going To School’ has launched their a new news portal where children will report stories. Well, don’t miss it for kids’ issues, the little ones are going to talk about everything that is worrying the country right now. They also have a newsroom which has been built to cater to children.
Children’s Scrappy News Service is an original, made in India show in an hour-long format. The aim of the program is to make the world a better place for kids. The Children’s Scrappy News Service is a makeshift news service and a news talk game show run by kids for kids. They are taking on design-thinking and scrappy skills with the new show. These children have been selected from 700 candidates are trained to find solutions faced by adults. The Scrappy news anchors include Dheeraj aged 10 who believed he can help solve problems faced by adults on daily basis. Valeska is another young girl who has pledged to make a difference in the functioning and is determined to do so.

They have their newsrooms in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Bihar and 14 places where the kid anchors invite guests like electricians, plumbers, carpenters, parents to decide solution to various problems. The kids who interview adults are called Scrappy kids discussing and proving solutions to problems that generally grown-ups deal with.
