The third ODI of the five match series will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele on August 27.
India under a new head coach, Ravi Shastri will be touring Sri Lanka for three Test series followed five one-day internationals and one Twenty20 international.
The tour starts on July 26 with the first of the three Tests being played at the Galle. The second Test match then starts in Colombo from August 3-7 and the third and final Test from August 12-16 in Pallekele.
After the Tests, the action shifts to the 50-over format with the first of the five ODIs being scheduled for August 20 and the remaining four matches for August 24, 27, 31 and September 3. India's tour ends on September 6, with a one-off T20I to be played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Virat Kohli will be leading a 16-member Test squad and Ajinkya Rahane being his deputy. Rohit Sharma is making a comeback into the Test squad after injury layoff while Hardik Pandya gets a maiden Test call-up.
While India's pace attack will be led by the experienced Ishant Sharma and supporting him will be Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami.
The tracks in Sri Lanka would aid spin and India are travelling with three spinners in Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav. However, ahead of the tour, Murali Vijay was ruled out of the Test series with Shikhar Dhawan replacing and will be opening with KL Rahul.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka would be high on confidence after recently winning the one-off Test against Zimbabwe by four wickets in Colombo. Sri Lanka not only recorded highest run chase on home soil but also in Asia.
The hosts are currently not enjoying a great run with Angelo Mathews stepping down from captaincy after Sri Lanka's loss to Zimbabwe in the ODI series.
However, the young team led by Dinesh Chandimal has the potential to trouble India and not to forget the wily spinner Rangana Herath, who returned with 11 wickets from the last Test against Zimbabwe.
