As has already been explained, CBSE would be granting Grace Marks for 2017 Results. The concern of students regarding the extent of grace marks is unfounded. A senior teacher has shared that CBSE is very considerate about the future of the child. As to the extent of grace marks, it is usually done by a computer. The result, once compiled, is analysed. The core member committee then assesses the subject wise results, bracketed in various regions, schools, segments and paper codes. The number of students failing to secure passing marks of 33 overall are computed and a rational developed. CBSE then standardizes the score. Teachers shared that no body knows how much grace marks has been awarded. It is a core member decision and only available to select few. The teachers have come forward to reassure the students that all would be done well. Also, as for the fears of CBSE not actually moderating, the retired official we spoke with rubbished the thoughts. “It is not possible”, he commented. “CBSE agrees to moderation and does not adapt it is a scenario not possible at all. Its not a manual job. CBSE was already ready with results by May 25. Applying moderation is a matter of few hours as everything is technological driven. Students should not fall under the trap of fictional controversies.” Another senior teacher was angry when quizzed about the same, “Ask these students were they even aware about Moderation Policy before March? CBSE has been constantly giving away free marks and now they think they deserve free gifts. We understand grace marks but the rumours and controversies have to stop.”

India.com wishes to share that the opinions quoted are of the individuals and not of the website. Also, the anxiety of the students is valid and must be calmed. Again, we wish to share the CBSE would be implementing Grace Marks Policy for 12th and 10th Results this year.
