New Delhi, Aug 11: The online registration of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2017 will begin from today at official website cbsenet.nic.in. NET aspirants can visit the official website for the registration of the test and can fill out the application form and pay the fees through bank challan. CBSE is conducting NET on November 5 in 84 subjects. The last date to fill the application form is September 11, 2017. However, the fee can be paid through a bank challan till September 12. Instead of the top 15 per cent candidates, now only top 6 per cent candidates would be considered qualified in NET.
“The candidates are required to apply online from August 11, 2017. The last date for applying online is September 11, 2017, and fee can be paid up to September 12, 2017,” reads the UGC website.

ELIGIBILITY FOR UGC NET 2017
The candidates should have minimum 55 per cent marks (without rounding off) in master’s degree from a recognized university/institute. However, you are eligible if you are in the final year of your master’s degree.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE NET cbsenet.nic.in
Step 2: Click on UGC NET registration link.
Step 3: Fill out the registration form with your details.
Step 4: A username and password will be generated for you at the end of your registration.
Step 5: Save it until the end of the whole exam procedure.
On the behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), CBSE conducts the test for Junior Research Fellowship and for Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. “The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor,” reads the website.
