New Delhi, Aug 10: The registration of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) National Eligibility Test (NET) will begin from tomorrow, August 11. Aspirants of UGC NET can login into the official website cbsenet.nic.in and fill the registration form from tomorrow. CBSE conducts NET on the behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) twice every year for Junior Research Fellowship and for Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. According to the UC website, ‘The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.’
This year, CBSE is conducting NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET examination cities across the country. The UGC NET will be conducted on November 5.
“The candidates are required to apply online from August 11, 2017. The last date for applying online is September 11, 2017, and fee can be paid up to September 12, 2017,” reads the UGC website.

STEPS TO APPLY FOR UGC NET
Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE NET at cbsenet.nic.in
Step 2: Click on UGC NET 2017 Registration.
Step 3: Fill the registration form.
Step 4: After registration, your username and password will be generated.
Step 5: Save it until the end of the examination procedure.
Aspirants should have minimum 55 per cent marks (without rounding off) in master’s degree from a recognized university/institute. Candidates in their final year of master’s degree are also eligible.
