New Delhi, April 14: In yet another tragic incident, a class 11 student allegedly committed suicide in Kukatpally area of Hyderabad city after he failed in the final examination, said police. The victim, identified as Sai Kumar, was pursuing his intermediate first year at MNR Junior college.

Confirming the news, Kukatpally police station Circle Inspector, Prasanna, said that Sai Kumar hanged himself as he failed in the final exams.  The body of the victim has been sent to a government hospital for post-mortem. A case under Section 174 CrPC has been registered and the further investigation is underway.

Recently, another minor student had committed suicide in Hyderabad over alleged academic pressure. Studying in the second year in a private allegedly, the victim allegedly jumped off the fourth floor of his apartment in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony.

He took this extreme step when his parents were asleep. The boy was reportedly in stress as summer classes were being held in college without a break in academics. Police said that the boy had dinner and went to sleep by 11 pm but around 3.30 am he suddenly ran out of his room making a loud noise. He then jumped from the building. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries there.

A lot of students commit suicide owing to the exam or academic pressure. Students suffer from a lot of pressure like scoring good marks and getting admission in good college. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked about exam pressure and said that students competition should not be others but with themselves.
