Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conducted the IIFT entrance exam on November 27, 2016. The results of which are expected to be out by January 2017. The successful candidates will be able to secure admission in MBA (International Business) program at New Delhi and Kolkata. This year the IIFT 2016 written exam was conducted in paper pen mode for admission to MBA (International Business) 2017-19 batch and was held 20 test cities across the country. This year the Data Interpretation section was easy while the Logical Reasoning section was quite tough. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension section had 36 questions which was of average difficulty. This year the General Knowledge section was easier than the last year paper. This year there were a total of 123 questions in IIFT 2016 exam. It is expected that the cut offs will increase this year. There are total 360 seats in MBA (International Business) under IIFT. There are about 220 seats at Delhi campus and 140 seats at Kolkata campus.
The applicants will be selected on the basis of written examination, Group Discussion and personal interview. The candidates will be short listed for MBA (IB) programs at IIFT, New Delhi and Kolkata. The candidates were tested on approximately 125 MCQ type questions. The question paper of IIFT will be divided into 4 sections which includes Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension & General Awareness. It is pertinent to note that there will be separate marking scheme for each section and may change every year by examination authority. Aspirants are required to note that there will be a penalty of 1/3rd marks for every wrong answers. To apply for IIFT exam, candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution to apply for IIFT 2016 examination. The applicants in final year are also required to apply for IIFT 2017 examination. It is important for the aspirants to go through the age limit to apply for IIFT 2017 examination.
