On April 2, 2017 the Joint Entrance Examination will be conducted. It will be the fifth JEE which is going to be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. It is a two tier examination and the exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Now, the online application will start from December 1, 2016 and the aspirants should note some important point for filling up the application form. And the last date of online application is January 2, 2017 and the fee can be paid by January 3, 2017. Few states like Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Gujrat, Odisha, Haryana and Uttarakhand have joined JEE (Main) system from this year. So the aspirants who want to take admission to the institutions situated in these states, are also required to fill the JEE Main online application. Previously, they were being admitted based on their State Level Examination.
It will be a four stages application process. The first stage will be of the registration process. Then the online application will start and the applicants will have to enter all the genuine details and submit. In the third stage, the applicants will have to upload scanned images of their photograph, signature and thumb impression in a prescribed format. In the last stage to complete the application process, the applicants will have to pay the application fee. The fee can be paid through debit/credit card or an e-challan of Canara Bank/ Syndicate Bank/ ICICI Bank/ HDFC Bank. An acknowledgment slip will be generated on successful payment of application fee.
Documents that are very important for the application process are a valid email ID and a contact number. Then all the certificates of the qualifying examination scanned images of photograph, thumb impression, and signature. And a password to login for the registration process. For paying fee, one can use debit or credit card, bank e-challan.
NOTE: All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI with their correct details. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main) – 2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.
The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad. Though, the eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. So, interested candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).
