Jul. 17, 2017: Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2017) second round allotment result has been published by KEA for admissions to Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, Pharma-D and ISM & H (Ayush) courses. The candidates are required to  check their respective allotments from the official web portal of Karnataka Examinations Authority at kea.kar.nic.in. KEA had announced the first round CET allotment result on June 26. The students were required to exercise choices, make payment, download admission order and report to the respective allotted colleges. The dates for reporting was extended to July 7. KEA had now released the results for the 2nd round of allotments to Engineering, Agricultura, Architecture and Pharmacy courses in the state run colleges that fall under the KEAM 2017 Examination. Related News: Karnataka CET 2017 First Seat Allotment Result declared: Check KCET 2017 Allotment list at kea.kar.nic.in

The students are required to check CET cut off marks for admissions by clicking on the respective course links available at official website. After the declaration of the KEA allotment results, the students are required to confirm their choices on allotment by July 20. In case the alloted colleges are agreeable to the students, the candidates must report to the said institutes latest by Friday, July 21 by 5.30 pm. It is important to note that the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will allot the seats online in the order of merit and based on the priority of options obtained from the candidates. Candidates will need to enter the options of their choice on KEA website.  They need to enter their choice  from the available options. Candidates can enter as many number of options as they desire. As per the rules of the counseling and allotment, candidates were required to chooses and take ownership of the options provided. As per the notification released, admission to Government seats will be made in accordance with the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006  as amended from time to time.  The allotment results are not available online for candidates to check. Allotment letters are also available online on the website and can be downloaded by the candidates. Please remember, candidates would be required to carry the letter when they report to the respective institutes.

KEAM 2017 is conducted by the KEA or Karnataka Examination Authority for admission into Government run State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical colleges. It is important to note that the admission to MBBS and BDS Courses is done as per NEET 2017 Results. However, admission to agriculture and pharmacy courses is still conducted by the State by means of a common entrance test. The examination for KEAM 2017 was conducted on May 2 and 3rd. Results were declared in June and Allotments have already been made for the first round. In case there is still vacancy after the 2nd round of allotment, a third round may be conducted. Notification for the same would be provided to selected and short listed candidates accordingly.
