Lok Sabha Internship 2018: Lok Sabha Secretariat has invited application for 50 Internship Positions for a duration of three months and 50 Internship Positions for a duration of one month. The main aim of the Internship Programme is to provide an opportunity to the students with outstanding academic credentials. The candidates who will be selected for the internship programme should gain valuable experience of Parliamentary democracy. The interns would also be contributing towards research inputs, as per as the official notification of Lok Sabha.
All the interested candidates should submit the online application by May 4, 2018, within 5 PM. The online application form is available on the official website- sri.nic.in.

One-Month Internship (50 Positions)
The internship programme will start from June 28, 2018, and will continue until July 27, 2018.
Candidates age limit should not be less than 18 years and not more than 30 years as on closing date of applications.
The aspirant should be a student pursuing graduation/post-graduation in disciplines such as social sciences, science, languages, environmental studies, law, journalism, finance, management, etc.
A ‘Recommendation Letter’ from the Principal or Head of Departments of an institute or college should be submitted by the candidate mentioning that he/she last attended or is enrolled in to pursue higher studies along with the completed application form.
The candidate should get permission from the experienced authorities of the educational institutions that the student’s joining the Lok Sabha Internship Programme will not hamper their studies.
The candidates should also submit a brief statement of 250 words that why they want to join the Internship programme and how this programme will help them.
Stipend: The intern will be paid an amount of Rs. 25,000/- (Rs. 20,000/- as stipend and Rs.5,000/- for stationery and typing expenses).
Three-Month Internship (50 Positions)
The internship programme will start on July 2, 2018, and will continue until September 28, 2018.
The age limit of the candidates should be in between 21 and 30 years as on closing date of applications.
Candidates must have an outstanding academic record in disciplines such as social sciences, science, languages, environmental studies, law, journalism, finance, management, etc.
The aspirant should have completed a two-year Post-Graduate Degree.
The Internship Committee may also allow students who are pursuing doctoral study to undergo internship, in exceptional circumstances.
All the other details have been mentioned above, so the candidates need to follow the same procedure such as a recommendation letter should be submitted, permission from the educational authorities, 250 words brief statement, etc.
Stipend: the intern will be paid an amount of Rs. 20,000/- (Rs. Twenty Thousand only) per month. A sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand only) meant for stationery and typing expenses.
Please note an incomplete application shall be rejected and the Lok Sabha Secretariat will not provide any accommodation, transport facilities to the Intern. So, the intern may have to make her/his own arrangements for accommodation, transport during the term of the Internship Programme.
