Railway Board has extended the dates for allottees of Civil Services 2015 and those aspirants who are appearing in UPSC Civil Services 2016. Candidates who are allotted to Railway Services viz. IRTS, IRAS, IRPS and RPF on the basis of Civil Services Examination 2015 have been issued offers of appointment and directed to report to respective centralized Training institutes (CTIs) on December 12, 2016. Candidates who have selected may also appear in Civil Services Examination (CSE) (Mains)-2016 which will conclude on December 9, 2016. As per the official notification, in order to facilitate candidates appearing in CSE (Preliminary) -2016, it has been decided to allow the candidates to join the CTIs on or before December 16, 2016.
It is also mandatory for the candidates to produce the CSE (Mains)-2016 hall ticket at the time of reporting. The railway board will not send any information personally to the candidates. The Railway Board is the apex body of the Indian Railways. It reports to the Parliament of India through the Ministry of Railways headed by the Railway Minister of India. Railway Recruitment Board, Jammu-Srinagar was established in 1983. It caters primarily to recruitment on all-India basis for group ‘C’ posts for Firozepur Division of Northern Railway, Diesel Loco Modernisation Works, Patiala and Rail coach Factory, Kapurthala. It is important to note that the schedule of Written / On-line examination is also published in News papers and employment news / Rojgar samachar. The eligible candidates are informed of their date and center of their examination by call letters. The list of successful candidates in the examination is published in the newspapers, internet and successful candidates are also advised by post.
