New Delhi, April 8: Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced recruitment of Engineers. The RPSC has advertised for the vacancies of Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) to be recruited through the State Engineering Services (Assistant Engineer) Combined Competitive Examination 2018. A total of 916 vacancies are to be filled. Applicants interested need to register between April 30 to May 29, 2018.

The State Engineering Services (Assistant Engineer) Combined Competitive Examination 2018 will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, it will be a Preliminary examination and in the second stage the Main examinations will be held.
1. Preliminary Examination: Preliminary examination will have two papers; a compulsory paper and an optional paper.
Compulsory Paper: It will consist of questions on General knowledge & General Science, including General knowledge of Rajasthan, its Geography, Economy and culture. Paper will consist of 200 marks with time duration 2 hours.
Optional Paper: Candidates will have to select anyone of the paper from the following; Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering. Paper will consist of 200 marks with time duration 2 hours.
2. Main Examination: Main examination will have two compulsory subjects and the same optional subjects as above to choose from.
Paper l: Hindi, maximum marks 100
Paper ll: Social aspects of Engineering, maximum marks 100
Optional Subjects: Paper lll and lV will be held for the subject chosen from the options given; Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Agricultural Engineering, both the papers will carry equal marks; 200 marks each
3. Personal Interview: The Personal Interview will carry a total of 72 marks
For Panchayati Raj Department: A candidate must have degree in Civil /Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University.
For posts other than Panchayati Raj Department: A candidate must have done Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) from a recognized University.
Compulsory Qualification: Applicants must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and should be well aware of the Rajasthan Culture.
Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years, as on January 1, 2019.
