The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification on its official website ssc.nic.in regarding Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Exam 2016. SSC JE Exam 2016 was scheduled to be conducted on December 8th, 9th and 12th. Now, as per the latest release, the dates of the exam have been rescheduled to the second half of this month. The changes have been made due to the administrative reasons. Candidates will be intimated about the exact dates shortly on its official website. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be conducting the following exams in the month of December; Combined Graduate Level Examination-2016 Tier-II (30.11.2016 to 02.12.2016), UD Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination-2016 (03.12.2016), SI/ASI in CPOs Examination-2016 Paper-II (18.12.2016), Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination-2016 (20.12.2016 to 23.12.2016).

SSC JE written exam will be conducted in two stages. SSC JE Paper-1 will include three parts namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering. The General Engineering includes Civil & Structural, Electrical and Mechanical. The nature of questions of SSC JE Paper-1 will be objective. Candidates should avoid guess work as there will be negative marking in Paper 1 for every incorrect question. SSC JE Paper-2 will be Conventional. It will be varying three parts in which candidates need to attempt only one part. After all the phases of the selection process are over, the Staff Selection Commission will declare final results. Candidates will be required to clear the cut-off for all the sections to qualify the exam. The cut-off will be decided by the Staff Selection Commission.
