The Law Department has advised the K Chandrasekhar Rao government that there is no need of an ordinance as a mere government order is sufficient for the purpose, a top official said, the Hindu reported.

As the file is still under circulation in government, the mode of implementation is yet to be decided, said Director of School Education G Kishan

In 2017, a committee headed by Potti Sriramulu Telugu University Vice-Chancellor SV Satyanarayana was constituted to study the feasibility of implementation of the decision prior to World Telugu Conference in November last year.

The panel had suggested three levels of Telugu education for children with different backgrounds while emphasising that there is no way to bypass Telugu and pursue studies in Telangana.
