New Delhi, April 7: The CBSE has extended the last date of online application for the UGC NET 2018 exam. Now the candidates can apply online until April 12, 2018 (11.59 PM) and they can submit the fee until April 13, 2018 (11.59 PM). So, hurry up and apply soon i.e. by next Thursday. The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2018 is going to be conducted by CBSE on July 8. The online application process for the examination has been started from March 6, 2018. Now, after the completion of the application process on April 12, the form correction process will start on April 25 and will continue until May 5.
To find eligible candidates for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship in Indian colleges and universities, this exam is conducted every year by the CBSE board. From extending the age limit to changing examination pattern for Junior Fellowship (JRF) this year CBSE has made several changes. This year the board will conduct the NET examination in 84 different languages at 91 selected cities across the country.

How To Apply: Aspirants need to visit the official website of CBSE UGC NET i.e. cbsenet.nic.in. Then they should click on the relevant link for applying online. Candidates must enter the required details to fill up the form and submit the same. They should take a printout of it for future reference.
Application Fee: Rs 1,000 for the general candidates, Rs 500 for OBC candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates .
Exam Pattern: The UGC NET 2018 exam will consist of two papers. The total duration will be of three hours. Paper-I will consist of 50 questions totalling 100 marks and the time duration will be an hour. And Paper II will consist of 100 questions worth 200 marks in all and the time duration will be two hours. Both the papers will be conducted on the same day.
