New Delhi April 5: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the notification for the recruitment of Indian Economic Service (IES)/Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination last month. The last date to file the application is April 16, 2018, till 6 PM.
To avoid last minute hurdles like server overload etc. candidates have been requested to submit the duly filled form well in time.

Indian Economic Service (IES): 14
Indian Statistical Service (ISS): 32
Indian Economic Service (IES) :
A candidate must have Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University recognized by UGC.
Indian Statistical Service (ISS):
A candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University recognized by UGC.
A candidate must be minimum 21 years of age and should not have crossed 30 years of age, as on August 2018.
Upper age relaxation for ST/SC category candidates is 5 years and 3 years for OBC category candidates. For detailed information regarding the age limit relaxation refer the official notification.
Candidates need to deposit a sum of Rs 200 as application fee, either by cash at any SBI branch or through net banking at State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card. The female/SC/ST/PWD candidate’s are exempted from payment of application fee.
Selection Procedure for UPSC IES and ISS Examination 2018:
Selection process of candidates will be done in two parts;
- A written examination with maximum 1000 marks.
- Viva voce (Personal Interview) of candidates passing the part 1 examination.
