New Delhi, Mar 14: The Uttar Pradesh Board exam 2018 results for Class 10 and 12 will be declared by the third week of April. The state board will be announcing the results almost a month earlier than previous years. The evaluation process will commence from March 17 and over 1.46 lakh examiners would be involved.

UP Board secretary Neena Srivastava points out that the early declaration of results is because the exams started before time.  She said, “Since we started the exams from February 6, the results will also be out early. In 40-45 days, we have plans to publish both classes’ results. After evaluation, we will send copies for double-checking at our regional offices.”

This year, a total of 11,28,250 students did not take the board exams and it is being speculated that strict measures taken to curb malpractice prevalent during the examination is one of the main reasons.

In order to maintain transparency, CCTVs are being installed at various evaluation centres and security forces will also be in action during the evaluation process to keep the education mafias in check. A total of 66,37,018 students had to appear in UP Board’s 2018 examination. These included 36,55,691 for class 10 and 29,81,327 students for class 12.

The examination for Class 10 students concluded on February 22 while the last examination for Class 12 or Intermediate examination was held on March 12. A re-examination for class 10 Science and class 12 Physics, would be conducted by the Board soon and students would be intimated. As per reports, the exact date would be given in the first week of April. Last year, the UP Board results were delayed by almost a month.
