The result date of UP Board 2018 examination has been under speculation from the past few days. Firstly, the results were to be announced on April 15 which later was shifted to April 20. As per some reports, it was also said that the result may be announced either on April 23 or April 25 but no confirmation followed. However, UP Board Secretary Neena Srivastava finally broke the silence and announced April 29 as the date when UP Board Class 10, 12 Results will be declared.
Nearly 66.4 lakh students had appeared for both the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations- including 36.6 lakh in Class 10 and 29.8 lakh in Class 12. Out of the 66.4 lakh students, at least 11 lakh students didn’t appear for the examination and were marked absent. The reason behind such a huge number of absentees is the strict measures that had been in place during this year’s exams. Despite the strict measures enforced, a total of 136 FIRs were lodged during the examination.
The UP Board exams were held between February 6 and March 12.
