XAT 2017 will be conducted on January 8,  2017.  XLRI – Xavier School of Management (XLRI) conducts XAT 2017 on behalf of the XAMI.  XLRI is conducting XAT at all India level. XAT score will be accepted by more than 100 institutes for the admission. XAT 2017 will be conducted across India in the following cities which include
Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon among others. Applicants can go through certain instructions to apply for XAT 2017. The registration process for the registration had commenced on August 17, 2016 and will end on December 11, 2016.

Applicants are required to note that registration for XAT 2016 and appearing for XAT 2016 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. As per the official website, the applicants to different institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately to Institutes of their choice. Applicants for XAT 2017 can choose to pay online using credit card/ debit card/ online banking. Candidates can also make payment through a demand draft made from any bank (in favour of XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT). Third alternative for making payment can be “cash”. This can be done from any of the IDBI Bank branches located in India to make payment for XAT 2017.

The format of XAT would remain pen-paper based. The paper-pen mode also ensures that all candidates are tested on exactly the same set of questions, and not on different sets. The admit card for XAT 2017 will be available from December 20, 2016.  Aspirants are required to note that their recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Aspirants are required to note that they need to complete their final examination by June 10, 2017 may also apply. All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2017. However NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates have an option of appearing for XAT 2017). XAT 2017 will have four sections which include Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and General Knowledge. Another important points to note that the marks of General Knowledge will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection. Results of XAT 2017 will be available on the website by January 31, 2017. XLRI does not have any cut off based on any of the following X, XII, graduation marks.
