Lok Sabha Elections 2014: 84 percent voting in Tripura, 72.5 percent in Assam

Agartala, April 7: Tripura today witnessed 84 per cent polling in one Lok Sabha seat while in Assam 72.5 per cent voters cast their ballot in five constituencies as the first phase of the nine-stage general elections ended peacefully.

Till 5 PM, when the polling ended, voters were standing in long queues and the polling percentage in the six constituencies of the two northeastern states could witness a rise.
