Celebrated during the winter time, Lohri is a Punjabi harvest festival. It marks the end of winter and the beginning of the harvest season. It is celebrated in the month of Pausha and as per the Gregorian calendar, it will fall on January 13. It is celebrated a day prior to Makar Sankranti in many parts of north Indian including Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Lohri also coincides with other harvest festivals like Pongal and Bhogali Bihu celebrated in different parts of the country. Lohri is celebrated by lighting a bonfire, making traditional food and dancing. Girls dress up to dance to the folk songs and celebrate. Start by priming your eyes by applying a neutral eyeshadow over your eyelids. Then apply a concealer under your eyes and other dark areas on your face.

Apply light brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of your upper eyelids and your crease to give it some depth.

Apply gold eyeshadow at the center of your eyelids. Now, take plum eyeshadow and apply it on the outer corners and the crease of your eyelids. Blend the brown and plum eyeshadow using a clean brush.

Apply the gold shadow again to give it a nice pigmentation. Use a champagne color on the inner corner of your eyes and blend it to the crease. Apply red eyeshadow just above your crease.

Apply the eyeshadow called buff on your brow-bone area and blend it well using a clean brush.

let’s focus on your face now. Begin by applying a foundation and blend it in with a beauty blender.

Apply dark circle eraser under your eyes, bridge of your nose and the area above your upper lips and between your eyebrows. Blend it well with a beauty blender.

Contour your face using a dark brown contour stick and use the same beauty blender to blend it.

Apply kajal on your lower lash line and not on the waterline. Smudge the kajal slightly and then apply some plum eyeshadow under the kajal. Apply some mascara on your upper as well as on your lower eyelashes. Now, fill in your eyebrows and shape it. Use blush to contour your cheeks, nose and jaws. Apply a peachy blush on the apple of your cheeks.

Now, apply some highlighter on your cheeks, bridge of your nose, cupids bow and chin.

Complete your look by applying a bright lipstick to match your attire.
