Netherlands: The best attacking team in the World Cup were tested to the core by Costa Rica side in the quarters. The underdogs took the 2010 finalist down to penalties where it took manager Van Gaal’s managerial masterstroke to win the match. Playing against clinical Argentinean side, Netherlands will look to their best men in the business – Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben to take charge. With one of the best mid-fielders in form of Wesley Sneijder, the Dutch can destroy any side on a good day.
Argentina: Being led by the best player in the world who is desperate to win the World Cup isn’t too bad. Messi-led Argentina did not break any sweat against high flying Belgium in the quarters. Continuing with their simple and non fancy approach, Argentina have won all their matches in the tournament so far. Even when Argentina were probably second-best against Bosnia, Iran and then Switzerland, Lionel Messi single-handedly took the team to the next round. The Barcelona forward has been remarkable so far scoring four goals and one assist– three of those goals absolutely brilliant ones. Now with Angel di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain getting their scoring boots on, this Argentina side must not be taken lightly.
