Indian Premier League 2015 gets underway from April 8 and will last till May 24. The eight edition of IPL will see eight teams fighting it out for supremacy. IPL 8 will have total of 60 matches including three play-offs and a final. The opening encounter of the league will see defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders face Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Pepsi IPL 2015 Final will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on May 24. IPL 8 will be played across 12 different venues.
MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings are the only team to have played the knockout stages of all editions; finishing champions twice and runners-up thrice. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils are the only teams to have not won the competition.
