Credit Analyst/ Sr Credit Analyst

Job Location: Mumbai Department: Global Credit Research Team Primary responsibilities include:- Counterparty credit risk assessment Manage a dynamic portfolio of Corporates, Financial Institutions and Non-Bank FI s Financial analysis of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cashflow Statement, Notes to Financial Accounts and evaluation of financial ratios Prepare Financial Spreads, Market Data, Peer Analysis and Cashflow Models/Forecasts Determining internal ratings for Bank s Corporate & Investment Bank portfolio On-going Monitoring & Surveillance of assigned industry/portfolio, including rating changes, financial/industry development, news events etc. Develop Industry / Country expertise as relevant to assigned portfolio Senior Analyst: Also responsible for assessing quality of team members credit reports and providing specific, actionable and constructive feedback in a positive manner Senior Analyst: Also responsible for training analysts, guidance on an ongoing basis & participate/lead in group projects Senior Analysts: Should be able to lead and motivate team members and assume some Team Head responsibilities in their absence Educational Background: CA/CFA/MBA (Finance) with excellent academic track record. Required Experience/Skills 1-2 Years for Credit Analyst/ 3-7 years for Sr Credit Analyst - relevant work experience (credit related) within corporate financial services industry, Research/Analytics role in other Banks / KPOs / Rating Agencies Credit Research in Financial Institution Groups/Banking /Non Banking /Corporate Sector. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial markets and economic/industry trends Preferably strong accounting background, knowledge of financial ratios, financial statement analysis (GAAP, IFRS/IAS) Strong written and verbal communication skills (must be fluent in English) Must be a self-starter, be pro-active in bringing new ideas and solutions to the table Team player attitude and flexibility are essential Demonstrate ability to manage own time effectively, multi task, quickly absorb ideas and facts while maintaining a strict eye for detail Excellent organizational and administration skills Fluency / proficiency in a main European language or Japanese would be an advantage, although not a requirement.
