You can also go for a swim or cycling for cardio exercise but sometimes you are too lazy to get out of your house for a cardio or bad weather forces you to stay indoors. 1. Jump ropes or skipping
All you need is a skipping rope and you are set for an intense session of cardio. You can also spot skip without the rope. Skipping can incinerate more than 200 calories per 20-minute session. The skipping rope is your best workout equipment, if you travel a lot.
2. Jumping jacks
Another cardio workout is jumping jacks. Engage you abdomen muscle while doing the exercise. It will tone your abdomen, deltoids, quadriceps and thigh muscles. Start by standing straight with your arms at your sides and your feet together. Now, jump as high as possible and land with your legs spread out and your hands up at shoulder level.
3. Spot jogging
You can jog at home, yes, it is called spot jogging. Try to raise your legs as high as possible and try to kick your butt while doing spot jogging. Try to do 30 spot jogs or for about 60 seconds continuously. You will be huffing and puffing in no time.
4. Squat jumps
Jump squat is a combination of squats and jumps. This exercise will tone your butt, thighs and boost your metabolism. It will also improve your blood circulation.
5. High knee march
High knee march might seem easy but it is an effective cardio workout. You will not only burn calories but will also improve your endurance and stamina. It will also tone your core, thighs and butt. Try to do high knee march for about a minute.
