1. Dish wash soap and water
Take a tablespoon of dish wash soap and add it to 3.5 liters of water to make your cleaning solution. Use this solution to wash your mat. If it is very dirty, you can add a teaspoon of baking soda into the solution. After the washing, the mat will take several hours to dry. You can hang the mat ion the shower as it will drip. Make sure the mat is not left in the sun for too long as it will damage the mat. Drying it in the sun for a long duration can dry up the mat and make it crumbly.
2. Vinegar and water
You can use vinegar to clean your mat. Make the cleaning solution by adding one cup of vinegar to one cup of water. You can use white vinegar. Mix well and used this solution to wipe the mat. You can also add a few drops of essential oil like thyme or lavender oil to solution.
3. Vinegar spray
You can also make cleaning spray by adding one part of vinegar to three parts of water. Pour this solution in a spray bottle and add in a few drops of lemon juice or witch hazel. You can also add about 10 drop of essential oil like lavender or peppermint oil. Mix well and spray it down your mat. Leave it for about three minutes and then take a damp cloth and wipe it.
